Figure Skating Ticket Ice Policy and Procedures

  1. Ticket Ice dates and times will be posted at least two weeks in advance, as determined by the DPSC Board of Directors and Teen Ranch, and posted on the club website (http://sk8dpsc.ca) and bulletin board in the Ice Corral lobby.
  2. DPSC Ticket Ice is available to any current Skate Canada member.
  3. There is maximum of 25 skaters permitted on the ice at any one time.  DPSC club members participating in a scheduled program will have priority over Ticket Ice participants.  On any given session of ice, Ticket Ice will be made available on a first come, first served basis.
  4. For ticket ice available in July and August, sign-in sheets will be available in the Ice Corral lobby for future dates, and skaters who wish to reserve a specific time, may add their name to the sign-in sheet for the specific date in advance, but must submit tickets or payment at that time.
  5. An authorized Skate Canada Professional Coach, as determined by the Technical Director, must be present before any skater is allowed on the ice, although the skater is not required to be working directly with any coach during the session.
  6. Payment for each hour of ice time used is required at the start of the allocated Ticket Ice Session each day, in accordance with the fee schedule established by the Board of Directors.  Payment for pre-reserved ticket ice is required at the time of reservation.  There are no substitutions or refunds.
  7. Payment may be made by cash, cheque, or Ticket Ice coupon(s).  Deposits must be clearly marked with the skater’s name, date and amount.
  8. Payment by Interac or Credit Card is available if the Ice Corral office is open to the general public.
  9. Books of Ticket Ice coupons are available for prepaid purchase in the Ice Corral office, and include a discount.
  10. Coupon books will expire one year from the date of purchase
  11. Coupons are not transferrable between members and non-members due to price differences.
  12. A registration system is provided outside the Ice Corral office where skaters must sign in before the beginning of their Ticket Ice session.  Skaters must sign out at the end of their session, otherwise they will be assessed a charge for the complete Ticket Ice session for the day.
  13. Any skater using Ticket Ice that has not registered will be required to leave the ice surface immediately at the request of DPSC or Teen Ranch staff, or DPSC Executive. In this case, a charge for the current session will be imposed, starting from the beginning of the scheduled Ticket Ice session, with payment required before the skater may use Ticket Ice again. On the 3rd such occurrence of failing to register in a Skate Canada season, the skater will not be allowed to use Ticket Ice for the balance of the season.  Seasons run from September to August.
